Conscious Cannabis Healing Meditations

In this 5 hour group psychedelic experience, we’ll use a gentle plant medicine to partner with body-focused mindfulness practices to support healing, creativity and personal growth.
 Sometimes we work with breathwork and art.

Cannabis is a very gentle and profound psychedelic in its own right and when used with intentional mindset and setting, can take the participant on a journey of inner exploration and deep body connection. These experiences are great for those who are new to exploring plant medicine and psychedelics and are looking for a gentle introduction with set, setting and trained guide and co-facilitators. These meditations can also support more experienced journeyers to integrate their experiences with other plant medicines.

We’ll begin with a brief introduction to these practices and what to expect, followed by Q & A. In this sacred space you are then led through a grounding meditation to clarify and set intentions. There is an opportunity to imbibe cannabis (vaped or smoked, and this is optional, and participants must bring their own) and then settle into their own personal space for a guided meditation and body scan. We will be working with two music sets, with a bathroom break in the middle. Music is evocative and chosen for a deep internal experience. We’ll end the session with a space to share your experience or sit quietly and journal.

About Jordan Wolan

Jordan (she/her) is a Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapist™ and Certified Hypnotherapist in private practice for over 7 years in Los Angeles. As a cannabis practitioner she trained at the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness in Boulder Colorado, with the supervision of Daniel McQueen to lead  Conscious Cannabis Circles and Breathwork with Cannabis events for groups, couples and individuals. Jordan is passionate about creating safe and sacred spaces for healing and transformation and also facilitates regular sound baths and past life regression journeys.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know whether this is a good fit for me?

Cannabis is not one size fits all, even when it suits an individual’s body chemistry. If you are familiar with how cannabis feels in your body, have been doing inner self work, or are curious about cannabis and mindfulness as tools for personal transformation, this event might be a good fit for you – however, only you (and the medical doctor we ask that all participants speak to in advance) can make that decision.

Working with cannabis is safe for most people, but it can also be emotionally intense and it is always best to err on the side of safety. You will be required to read and sign a Self Safety Assessment and Participation Agreement before participating in any event or journey, that acknowledges that you have spoken with a medical doctor. If you have any questions or concerns please speak with a medical doctor.

How should I prepare?

The following are just some guidelines to start:

  • Use any tools you already have for mindful self-awareness
  • Reflecting on your intentions for your journey or sharing with a trusted friend or support
  • Journaling about what you wish to release and what you wish to call in
  • Eating a small, easy-to-digest meal a few hours in advance on the day of the journey
  • Spending time in nature before and after
  • Doing gentle physical activity that is available to you, such as yoga, stretching, dance or massage
  • Refraining from cannabis, alcohol, or other substances for a minimum of 72 hours before the event

I had a bad experience with an edible once. Is this for me?

Trust yourself to make the right decision. For the record, I’ve worked with folks who had a very bad first experience with a gummy (in a public place with no set and setting!) and they have gone on to repair their relationship with cannabis. A group setting is probably not the best place to process severe individual trauma, in these cases I would consider booking a private session with me so that you have the individual attention and container to work through it.

Is this like Ayahuasca and will I purge?

One of the benefits of working with cannabis is how gentle it is. You won’t have the purgative effects of Ayahuasca (although it can happen rarely). Another benefit is that the journey has a peak and shorter duration, and can be contained within the 3-4 hour experience. A journey can be done in a morning, afternoon or evening and then you can continue about your day. Note: On journey day a driver will still be  required to pick you up afterwards.
