Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Therapy (CAPT)
With Exploration Comes Transformation
Many of us struggle with distraction, disconnection, and disassociation from our bodies, our selves, and our dreams. The practice of returning to the body through the breath and the transmutational power of cannabis-assisted meditation can be a pathway for letting go of the past, embracing the present, and moving towards a more embodied future.
Cannabis assisted journeys are a unique opportunity to access a psychedelic experience within the realm of the everyday. Setting an intention to heal, transcend, and transform, alongside an experienced guide, allows us to access the same spiritual parts of ourselves as other psychedelics – while working with a plant that is legal in the state of California. It allows you to transport the skills you learn on your journey into your daily life.
Your Journey Inwards
A guided cannabis-assisted journey is an opportunity to explore and release trauma, go inward, and seek – and experience – transformation. It is appropriate both for those new to psychedelics and intentional cannabis use as well as for more experienced psychonauts.
All journeys include one prep session, held virtually over Zoom, to discuss your goals, clarify your intentions, and review what to expect. In the days following the journey, an integration session takes place. If you are a new client interested in this work, I recommend beginning with at least one hypnotherapy session with me to clarify your intentions and create a safe and scared container for your work. This container can make partnering with cannabis more effective.
In private sessions, cannabis can support you in turning inward, resolving tension stored within the body, tracking inner sensations, and releasing traumas from the nervous system. With preparation, intention, a therapeutic container, and integration afterwards, cannabis can deepen the therapeutic process and make somatic, body-centered trauma work more efficient and effective.
Experience the profound emotional healing, physical release, and creative awakening that can come from cannabis-assisted body-focused mindfulness practices.

FAQs
Shouldn’t I just try to do similar work with a traditional psychedelic medicine?
Mainstream medicine increasingly recognises the benefits of plant medicines and entheogens such as ayahuasca, psilocybin, MDMA, and others – but that doesn’t make them legal or accessible. Cannabis is legal in the state of California, is accessible, and, when used with intention, can provide a gentler way to explore deep inner work. Cannabis also gives journeyers more agency over their experience, with easy-to-adjust dosage and a shorter journey time of often two to five hours, with normal functioning resuming shortly after the session (though you still shouldn’t drive after).
How do I know whether this is a good fit for me?
Cannabis is not one size fits all, even when it suits an individual’s body chemistry. If you are familiar with how cannabis feels in your body, have been doing inner self work, or are curious about cannabis and mindfulness as tools for personal transformation, this event might be a good fit for you – however, only you (and the medical doctor we ask that all participants speak to in advance) can make that decision.
Working with cannabis is safe for most people, but it can also be emotionally intense and it is always best to err on the side of safety. You will be required to sign a waiver and participation agreement before participating in any event or journey that acknowledges that you have spoken with a medical doctor. If you have any questions or concerns please speak with a medical doctor.
Can cannabis-assisted journeys take place virtually and how effective is it?
One of the great things that came out of the pandemic was realizing that this work can and does happen in the virtual space. Although in-person journeys are preferred, you can participate in this experience anywhere you have a strong WiFi signal and can create your “nest.”
I’m not ready for the commitment of a solo journey. Do you offer group sessions?
Yes! A group cannabis-assisted journey can be a powerful experience that allows you to go deep in the company of fellow journeyers. Though it does not have the one-on-one time of a solo journey, the group experience resonates harder than a solo experience for some individuals. Please visit my events page for info about the next group experience.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes. If you wish to break up the fee into two payments, you can choose to pay 50% of the fee at the time of booking and 50% of the fee at the start of your first prep session.
