Cannabis Assisted Sessions
Cannabis sativa is a safe and sacred plant ally and tool which supports clients in turning inward, resolving tensions stored deep within the body, tracking inner sensations, and releasing traumas from the nervous system. Cannabis-assisted guiding or “Conscious Cannabis” is different than “getting high.” When used in an intentional therapeutic container with preparation and integration, it can deepen the therapeutic process and makes somatic (body-centered) trauma work more efficient and more effective.
We are in the midst of a psychedelic renaissance, with the mainstream society beginning to acknowledge the benefits of plant medicines and entheogens such as Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, MDMA and others. While studies are under way for the treatment of anxiety, depression and trauma recovery, they are also prohibitive in nature due to legalities, cost, and other factors. Cannabis, which is legal in many states, including California, is very accessible and when used with intention can provide a gentler way to explore this deep inner work, while being able to achieve states that are just as powerful, if not more so. Some of the benefits of working with cannabis include that clients have more agency over their experience. Dosage can be adjusted for the individual’s zone of tolerance, the experiences lasts a shorter amount of time (often 2-5 hours), and normal functioning resumes fairly quickly after the session.*
All guided cannabis assisted journeys include 1-2 prep and integration sessions, as needed. I work from a humanistic, wholeness-based, trauma-informed perspective and recommend that new clients interested in this work begin with 1-2 hypnotherapy sessions with me to clarify intentions and create a safe and sacred foundation for this work. Within this container my clients feel prepared to then partner with cannabis to assist with releasing past difficult experiences and integrating lessons learned.
Benefits
Participants have described this work as “enlightening” and “one of the most powerful psychedelic experiences I’ve had”. Cannabis is now being seen as a powerful form of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in its own right for assisting with a wide variety of physical and emotional concerns. For further reading I recommend checking out Psychedelic Cannabis: Breaking the Gate by Daniel McQueen.
Cannabis Assisted Sessions are geared towards those who are open to exploring other modalities and may be used by those who are new to psychedelics and intentional cannabis use, or experienced psychonauts.
This practice may help you with:
- letting go of anxiety and stress
- relaxing into deeper connection with your body
- working through grief
- somatic release of difficult experiences from the past
- unlocking new levels of creativity and problem solving
- reconnecting with your purpose in life
- exploring and expanding consciousness

Psychedelic Integration
After a breakthrough or transformative experience it is important to be able to integrate the lessons learned. You may receive profound insights during psychedelic experiences. Journaling and self-care are essential during this time and I can help you integrate what you’ve discovered as you identify and implement the action steps to move forward.
Psychedelic Safety
Working with cannabis is very safe for most people. Yet like any psychedelic experience, these can be very emotionally intense and it is always best to err on the side of safety. You will be asked to sign a waiver and participation agreement before participating in any event or journey that acknowledges that you have spoken with a medical doctor. If you have ANY questions or concerns please speak with your medical doctor.
