FAQ

Does it really work?

Hypnosis has been officially recognized by the American Medical Association since 1958 as a legitimate and safe therapeutic approach to medical and psychological problems.

Hypnotherapy can be used along with traditional psychotherapy and to assist with medical procedures for common issues including  migraines, high blood pressure, IBS, weight loss, sleep issues and more. For more information visit: White Paper on Hypnosis for Common Medical Conditions.

How long is a session?

The first hypnotherapy session is 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 60 minutes. Past Life Regression therapy sessions are about 2 hours in length.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Many describe the hypnotic state as a complete and total escape from physical tension and emotional stress, while remaining completely alert. You are always completely aware of everything that is going on. In fact, you may experience a hyper-awareness where visuals and sensations are enhanced. Deep relaxation and better sleep are immediate benefits, after the very first session.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Everyone has the ability to be hypnotized by a trained hypnotherapist. Don’t worry if you’ve tried in the past and didn’t feel you were hypnotized. Hypnosis is a tool and it’s not for everyone, but if you have an open mind and are open to the process, I can work with you. You can still be having thoughts and wonder if it’s working, and it is.

Is hypnosis mind control?

No.  Your mind only takes in suggestions it is willing to accept. You cannot be forced/coerced into doing/believing anything you don’t want to. You will always be in control and able to respond, move or awaken from hypnosis at any time simply by opening your eyes. You will hear everything that is said, and because each individual experience varies, you may not feel hypnotized, when in fact you are. You also cannot “get stuck” in hypnosis.
